guys im looking for this motherboard as an upgrade to my brother's old board which is the ECS H61H2-M2 he has a Intel core I3 2100 (3.1ghz)
he will not be overclocking, maybe an sli or crossfire in the future, whats important is an USB 3.0, SATA 6Gb/s and PCI Express 3.0 x16 and this what i found which for me is bang for the buck

ASRock H77M LGA 1155 Intel H77 retail at newegg for $84.99

Neither will SLI and Crossfire with the second slot running at X4 speed is not recommended. Both boards are though good boards if you are after USB3 and SATA 6GB but they are not going to improve his performance from the H61 he has.

really? i was hoping for a great improvement over this boards because his case (Aerocool Strike one X advance) supports usb 3.0 and his previous board the ECS don't have a 6gb sata and usb 3.0..

You will get both of those with those boards. USB3 connectivity and SATA 6GB but the USB3 for what external devices and the SATA 6GB only SSD's are fast enough to take advantage of the 6GB connection since mechanical HDD are barely reaching 2GB transfer rates.
CPU and GPU perform the same on H77 and H61.

so it is safe to say that ill just stick with his current board? and i forgot he has no plan for SSD's also because it is so expensive.. his budget for now is only for a board and later on a GPU, his current GPU is same as mind the INNO3D GTS250 512..

With out a SSD there is really no need to change anything, presuming that gaming is his main thing it would make more sense to save money for a better GPU.

thanks man and how about the PCI Express 3.0 x16? if say he will be choosing a faster card like the ASUS HD7850-DC2-2GD5 Radeon HD 7850 2GB retail at newegg for $259.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168..., the other problem he is bugging about is that the 2 SATA of the board is blocked by the GPU he is using now if he upgrades to that card said above i think he will still be having a problem, so he can only use the other two remaining sata for the HDD and the DVD the other two will remain idle and useless..
