i recently upgraded to a core i3 2120 on a Asus P8H77 V LE with 8gb of corsair vengeance ram, from a core 2 duo e6750 on a MSI G31TM-P21 with 4gb of ram. since upgrading my sysem feels alot slower. things take a while to load both on and offline. i tested a few days ago on and was geting download speeds of up to 20mbps.

also in my new build is a EVGA GTX 460
corsair GS600W
Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3250820AS

i ran memtest on both sticks of ram and came back with no errors
i reinstalled windows when i first upgraded
i ran a few benchmarks, looking for a benchmark and my hdd always comes up but that shouldnt be making my system this slow.

so i moved pass the ram and am now looking at the cpu and the mobo. i need to test the mobo and cpu for any errors but i dont know what to use

what should i use as a diagnostic for my motherboard and cpu

thanx for any help in advance.

Is your hdd old? Used in old pc? Old hdd makes slow program loading time. Cpu/gpu has no effect on internet speed.

BTW, you can use prime95 to check cpu error.

ASUS offers PC Diagnostics Utility V1.2.4 - (Utilities) Use the 'Auto Test' option.

Intel Core2 Duo E6750 @ 2.66GHz (1674) -
Intel Core i3-2120 @ 3.30GHz (4216) -

My assumption is it's your HDD, when I searched it it's below average in performance so make certain that you have at least 20% space free and that it's defragmented. ST3250820AS (418) -

Otherwise Stress Tests & Benchmarks are the best option:
Stress Test: AIDA64 Extreme -
GPU: 3DMark11 -
* PCMark Vantage -
* PassMark PerformanceTest -
* ATTO -
