Let me know what you guys think :) <3

Looks like a good build but just a few things. Most will reccommend the Samsung Spinpoint F3 over the WD black because it's apparently faster and cheaper. Worth checking out. The other thing is that i hear the cooling on that Corsair case isn't very good, you could probably get a case with better cooling for like $80 less. I'd save money in these areas and get a HD 6950 2GB or GTX 570Ti 1.5GB.

Also, the Thermaltake Frio is said to be very noisy, i would go with the Scythe Mugen 2:

http://ncix.com/products/?sku=47758&vpn=SCMG-2100&manufacture=Scythe

This is the updated version of Crucial's SSD, it's slightly faster:

http://ncix.com/products/?sku=60444&vpn=CT064M4SSD2&manufacture=CRUCIAL%20TECHNOLOGY

The Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H is a bit cheaper and has all that you need:

http://ncix.com/products/?sku=61002&vpn=GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3&manufacture=Gigabyte

The HAF 912 is recommended by most here and has significantly better airflow than you chosen case at a much better price:

http://ncix.com/products/?sku=55583&vpn=RC-912-KKN1&manufacture=COOLERMASTER

The money saved can go towards a better GPU

-couldn't find samsung spinpoint F3 - just stayed with the WD
-swapped case
-didn't mind noise and a friend recommended just staying with the Frio
-Swapped SSD
-Stayed with the original mobo (prices were the same)
-upgraded GPU to the 570

So i made some changes based on all the input i was given from here and some other sources - thanks for the Round 1 input, any comments on this build I have going now? would love as much input as possible before submitting my order. I'm very grateful to all the people who have helped out - 4 days ago i didn't know what parts made a computer - and after tonnes of hours of research ive come up with this, so once again - any input would be FANTASTIC.

-Added the fan
-Added Corsair Professional Series Gold AX850
-Took off old PSU

So what do you guys think?
do you think ill get some good overclocks on this?
i was hoping to just add another GPU when i needed an upgrade and not too much more - i think the PSU is good enough for an SLI dual GPU now? would i need to upgrade much else in the future if i was going for a medium paced upgrade (several months down the line)
[EDIT: forgot to add that a biggest and hopefully cheaper SSD would be added in the future upgrade aswell]
-i dont tend to get new computers until 5-6 years after buying the original.

Anyone have any idea on the overclocks i might get on this? and the air cooling is good enough?

Ive just built something very similar and am more than happy with it.

I5-2500k (OC'd to 4.4GHz)
ASUS P8Z68 Mobo
Gigabyte GTX 560 Ti OC (OC'd to 950MHz)
Arctic Freezer 13 CPU Cooler
1TB SATA III HDD 7200rpm
XFX 750w Black Edition PSU
CoolerMaster Scout Case

Your build is pretty much the same so im sure you'll be satisfied with it :)

I'm very pleased that there is so much positive feedback! :D Does anyone have any negative/constructive feedback that might improve the build? I am quite satisfied with the quality of the build as is and I'm planning on ordering tomorrow at this point.

If anyone has anything else to chip in or any feedback whatsoever feel free to throw it out there for discussion! Thanks again all.

TOP TIP - Use an anti static band :) They can be bought for about £1.50 on ebay, and although some people argue they really arent needed, whats better, £1.50 to near guarantee no breakages, or risk a breakage and break a £200 component?

I built my first ever PC last week and it went supprisingly well. Booted first time with zero problems and im very happy with it. Depending if you have ever built before, or have much experience with computers, before your order is delivered, id reccomend looking into some videos/guides on how to wire everything up. I found this the most confusing and daunting part - wiring all the front panel connectors and front panel USB/Sound devices to the motherboard. Most of it is clear and labeled, but its more complicated that all other parts of the build so worth doing some research before hand :)

Other than that, enjoy it :)

Also one suggestion id make, although its entirely down to your user needs - get a Blu Ray drive rather than a DVD drive. Differences are rather minor they can both read and write although Blu Ray can obviously read Blu Ray disks aswell. Cost will be a little more expensive, but if you have like $50 to spare, then might be worth considering.
