Hi,

I will be visiting Washington DC in two weeks, and since cameras are
so much cheaper in US than in Sweden where I come from (high taxes), I
now plan to replace my old Minolta DiMAGE 7 with something new and better.

So my question is simply: Could someone please recommend stores with
large variety of equipment and good prices in the DC area?

Best Regards

Here is the address of the main Ritz Camera, in downtown Wash DC.
1750 L Street, NW
Washington, DC 20036

Fairly large store and good stock the last time I was there.

Wash DC and the surrounding area is quite large. It may be helpful to know
exactly where you'll be staying to help point out the closest location.

I second that referral to Penn Camera. One location is right next to the
FBI building so you could visit Mulder and Scully.

They are also on the web at http://www.penncamera.com/
