Hello :hello:

I am planning on buying and building my first ever PC for gaming+video editing. I am trying to go with an ultimate build.

Here is what I have so far:

Corsair AX850

WD Caviar Black 2TB

Intel 180GB 520 SSD

ASUS Rampage IV Extreme x79

i7 3930k w/ Corsair H100

I am also going to be getting a GTX 690 when available.

The problem is, I do not know what the best RAM to get is with my mobo.

I want to get the best RAM possible. It supports up to 64GB of RAM, but I won't be needing more than 16GB probably, but incase I decide to get 32GB of RAM...

2 Questions:

With my current build (trying to go ULTIMATE) what RAM should I get for 16GB of RAM?

With my current build (trying to go ULTIMATE) what RAM should I get for 32GBof RAM?

Any and all help is appreciated as this is my first time building a PC =)

Since you sound like you have the money to drop, any good branded RAM will work with any of your motherboard specified RAM frequencies: DDR3 2400(O.C.)/2133(O.C.)/1866/1600/1333/1066. I would probably get the max frequency you can support without overclocking, say 1866 and probably 4x4GB or 4x8GB sticks depending on whether you will get an an aftermarket CPU cooler.
