DS cards differs a lot from GBA carts.
DS cards are encrypted to prevent piracy while GBA carts are open.
You will need to wait for a backup system at least 6 months. If ways
are not looking good on cracking the ds/it's card, then it can take
like 5 years to crack it and it's also possible that it won't be
cracked like Xbox.

Encryption is not impossible to crack. Look at the Metal Slug titles. I
don't think we'll be waiting 5 years. The incentive for cartridge pirates
to make money will be too high.

This will slow the same day release (or even before release) of DS ROMs
that the GBA currently has on Usenet though. The fact it hasn't been
encrypted in the past leads me to wonder if Nintendo needed more power to
decrypt the cart on the fly.
