I am in the process of building my first system, and have encountered something i want to check on before i continue. Ive read replies saying this is and is not an issue.

My motherboard is mounted properly using the supplied standoffs, but my hyper212 cooler back plate is in contact with the case chassis. There is no pressure on the motherboard, everything looks fine and fit fine except for the back plate contact.

Is this contact a problem, should i buy/find longer standoffs and replace those given with the case? Or being insulated, is it not a problem?

Being insulated it is not a problem if it is not providing any pressure! Longer standoffs would offset the IO panel and expansion slots so that is a no go. Some cases have a hole cut in the motherboard tray to eliminate a problem like that, something that can be done.
