Hey guys, first time poster here :)

I'm currently building my second PC (First one was just a cheapie for a family member), so i'm only familiar with the basics. Anyway, im building a new PC and plan to use it for mostly WoW but am going to spend the extra money and build one that will be able to cope with the newer games coming out (modern warfare, etc).

So i'm buying a part week by week as I don't have the cash to spend all at once, all i've got so far is the case, power supply, and a wrist strap (lol). Which leads me to my first question, I brought this (http://www.elive.co.nz/enermax-enp550awt-550w-power-supply-dv4302.php), now as you read through my post hopefully you can shed some light as to if I have brought a powerful enough PSU.

Now anyway, back to what I was asking. This week it's the motherboards turn, I have done a bit of research and come out with this (http://www.elive.co.nz/asus-p8p67-deluxe-atx-motherboard-ac1968.php).

Thats my price range anyway ($500NZD so around $250-$300USD. Thoughts/feedback on the motherboard?, if I get this I plan on putting this (http://www.elive.co.nz/intel-core-i7-2600k-cpu-sy3211.php) in it next week.

Thoughts on that also would be awesome :)

So.. Am I heading in the right direction or am I on the way to building a dud?

Thanks all :)

Personally I would have selected a different PSU, but at least it is an enermax so you should be able to run stuff with it.
What I would have done is select one that has a single rail design to make sure enough juice is provided for your video card.
Something like Corsair TX650 V2, which of course at $185 would have been much more expensive, but generally would have been better.

From your usage point of view yes please, go with the i5 2500k, the i7 2600k would not really help with gaming and you would just be paying 50% more for something which is of no use to you.

As for the motherboard, while it is good no doubt, it is also very expensive.
If you want to go Asus I would recommend sticking with Asus P8P67 Pro, works great for gaming. ( $289.50 instead of 450 or so )
What you lose is a bit of connectivity so if you need those connections, maybe go with the Asus P8P67 Evo, still a lot cheaper than the deluxe.
But in the end all 3 boards are great, you just have to decide if that extra connectivity is something you need and want to pay almost double for.
