There is much more to a CPU than a benchmark at stock frequencies. If you look at the benchmark chart, the first APU is pretty far down the page with a lot of Intel CPU's above it. And once you factor in overclocking, the APU's get pushed farther down.

AMD is going to sell a lot of APU's. They are going to go into the mass marketed "big box" systems where economy is valued more than raw performance.

The only thing I would put an APU in would be a dedicated HTPC system.
