is the Gigabyte GA-Z77X-D3H a good gaming motherboard or should i go with something else like the MSI Z77 GD65?

My stats are:

GPU: Evga GTX 670 ftw

PSU: XFX 850w PSU

Case: Zalman Z11

CPU: I5 5370K

Memory: 8GB corsair vengeance LP 1600

HDD: Seagate barracuda 1TB

I would avoid the MSI board in favor of the Gigabyte board.

The MSI boards have bad voltage regulators which is mitigated somewhat by having a stock dispersal fan which you aren't going to be using.

The Zalman cooler won't hit the voltage regulators so you want a board with better regulators on it than the ones MSI uses.

I'm running the same mobo/cpu set up, and it seems fine. Stable and cool at stock. The mobo shipped with F5 BIOS, but it was straightforward to flash it to F9. I have had problems overclocking my set up so far (for another post).

If you haven't bought it and you're close to a MicroCenter, they were running a pretty good deal on the combo (essentially, the mobo was US$50).
