Whenever i log off i lose my sound why ??

Hello,
whenever i log off---i come back with sound off----i have to re-start to get sound back ?? why is that ?? and how to correct----its a dell pc

when your sound dies go check your audio services in windows. perhaps the services are shutting down when you log off and are not set to load when a user account logs on but rather when the OS loads. if that is the case its a simple registry edit to force such services to load on user login. go to run, services.msc, and scroll down to the audio services. try restarting them as well.
