Best Graphics Card

what's your current PSU? resolution? GTX 460 is around this budget and is a great card overall if you want nVidia only..

if you compare GTX 460 to GTS 450 ..where would you rate them on a scale of 10?

let's say:

GTX 460 1GB not SE 10/10
GTS 450 8-8,5/10

closest to it's performance in AMD is 6790, you can find it for 150$ i guess, but the one i listed is one of the best 460s and it'd beat it hands down, before it came out closest to 460 was 6850, it beats it and cost a bit less, around 170$

will you OC? what's the exact model of your PSU?

For your resolution I would just get the GTX 460 768mb. You wont see a notable difference between that card and the 1gb one and the 768mb is notably cheaper.

Anything more powerful is basically pointless unless you plan on upgrading your monitor.

look dude.whenever i go searching for a card..my mind gets really confused..there are so many cards .mostly with minute differences...i dont know how to chooose a card..plz help me dude... 

yeah jyjjy's right 768MB 460 would be great for your res. you can find it for 150$, 560Ti is probably out of your price range, it's 250$+ and only, which are worth buying *imo* are 270$ and you can get 6950 1GB for 215$, which would perform better than stock 560, but worse than OC, GTX 560 is like 25% better than 460

EVGA is good, but they usually make cards with central fans, imo they are quite noisy, i recommend Asus, MSI - they usually make best cards

if i were you i'd take the one, which is the cheapest, or if there was a small price difference then the one that has highest OC or best cooling

Stick with the 460

6850 is better, but for you it won't matter at this resolution and probably it'd be an overkill

The Asus card I linked has better cooling than the EVGA one and is cheaper as well so I'd stick with that if you are in the US.
