Any point in 2 bridges?

is there any point in putting two bridges between dual crossfired radeon cards? will it make a difference from having one bridge?

i was just wondering because both cards came with a bridge and it seems somewhat of a waste if u only use 1?

no there is no point, but sometimes CF just does not work without having 2 bridges...

I think the cards primarily transfer data over the PCI-E, and the bridge is just a low bandwidth low latency connection for timing and video. So I'd recommend just leaving it off then if it doesn't work for some reason, add the second. Or, you could test both configs for us.

Actually, our sticky at the top of the forum makes a good point. If you put both on, you can't lose the second one! So there is a reason after all.

1. try using 1 bridge, if it won't work or you will have issues then add another one

I've had it where two bridges caused erratic behavior and loss of stability. I use one now, and store the extra with my box of spare parts.
