Shogun 2 i5 2500k build ?

Hello. My freind wanted a build to play shogun two on high details but low rez...and I was just wondering if the core i5-2500k and the amd radeon 6670 will go nicely and be able to handle his needs. THANK YOU !!

The 6670 is a dismal card. You'll need some decent graphics hardware. The 2500K will be a good choice with the high-end card you'll have to get, though.
What kind of budget do you have?

710 $ is the total system budget. that's with a flatescreen moniter XD and an operating system

an Intel i5 2500k, a cheap mobo with a pci express 2.0, 6950, 4 gigs of ram 1600, psu antec or corsair, and a good case with good vent could be Haf.

Not really demanding game at all, but with that card, you can fly the game without problems, remember u can go to the new build forum and do a formal request.

surely you want to play shogun 2 on hi res but low details so the tactical map is larger?

I'd agree with above 6670 is not going to be good.

To explicitly answer the original question:
No, they would not go well together. Your friend would do much better to get a $120 X4 955 and to put the extra $100, which would have gone toward the 2500K, toward a better graphics card. With the 6670 at $80, that puts them around a 6870 at $180, which is a very decent card.
