no, GTX 460 2GB is the same thing as GTX 460 1GB, just more memory, and i'm sure it doesn't even use full amount of it's memory, it's not even close to 6950 2GB and is *like the 1GB* worse than 6850

But futureproof. My objective is to max out every game(except Crysis and Metro 2033) with 50+ fps. Thats why i got a i5 760 3.2Ghz CPU.

Not soon, maybe in next 3 years.
I dont actually care if its overkill. :D
More fps, better feeling for me :D

what cpu are you running. At that resolution your putting a lot of effort onto the cpu

OP: it's unknown when they will come out, but there are a lot of rumours saying new series will come out Q3 2011, but that's hard to believe *at least seems to me*, 28nm technology will bring us up to 40% more performance for up to 40% less power

The current fastest product hold itself as dual gpu single card is the ati 6990 but the ati 6950cf 1gb out performs it.Why didnt you ask us at the cpu forum of the best cpu available?

Because he wants to choose a graphic card not a CPU, 6990 is a damn load of issues, and 6950 1GB CF does NOT out perform it, why does he need the best CPU?

You might consider getting a better monitor - your visual experience may be be better served with a 22" monitor + cheaper graphics card.

If you're gonna have all that extra power left with your vid card, make sure to turn supersampling on at 8x. It will get rid of almost all those jagged edges. Multisampling is a waste of fps.
