Alright so lets get to it!
System Specs!
Amd 550-BE unlocked to 3 core @ 3.6 Ghz
750 XFX Black edition Power supply
4 gb DDR2 Kingston
Gigabyte GA-MA790x-UD4P

Currently using the GTX 260 XFX Black edition in which I cannot use @ XFX speeds cause its faulty it seems....So I have to Down clock it to normal 260.

Looking at a few diff cards to replace it in range of 200-250ish after rebate. Don't have much cash but can swing that.

Play on a 42inch TV at 1920x1080, may be switching to a diff tv though but would be same size/res. I think.

Dont really have a 3tv setup or anything so thats not really important.

3D capability will be though as looking towards that in the near future.

Card will be used for Gaming and of course we all love our bells and whistles when it comes to gaming and graphics :p

Think thats most of the info needed. A few cards I've been running into here and there were:
560 Ti's
6950 2gb ->6970
460-470
59XX
Cheaper SLI's and such are ok as well if they would be better.

Been kinda stuck on the 6950 2gb for the mem. and unlocking to "future proof" me abit more to be safe. Although, I see here and there other cards beating them.. I would run SLI if it would be a better setup as well.

Thanks everyone for the help and any questions/clarifications let me know!

if your 260 is faulty and still has the warranty, send it back to XFX they will probably send you new one or a better card, i don't recommend running CF/SLI, too many issues etc, 5970 is a dual GPU = CF of 5870 *underclocked*, GTX 460 is now for 200$ and clearly not worth it as you can find 5850 for 150$/ HD6850 for 160$/ HD6870 for 190$ that will clearly out perform it by a large margin, GTX 470 makes lots of noise and gives off a lot of heat, while giving you worse performance than 6870, you can also find 5870 very cheap ~210$ and they perform head to head with 560Ti, 6950 is the card that has highest performance/ performance per dollar/ watt *it's 10% ahead of 560Ti and cost less* you listed, only 570, 6970 and 580 beat 6950 *or SLI/CF*, also when you unlock make sure you buy reference model to have higher chance to unlock, 1GB can't be unlocked and non-reference models have lower chance of being unlocked
