MSI 6950 troubleshoot

Hello,
I had just installed the MSI 6950 twin frozr II. After the install, I had some horrific screen tearing on my desktop that would shut the system down. I replaced a crossfire set up of HD5750's. I removed all previous drivers and the hardware of the old graphics cards. Since I was having an issue, I re-installed my 5750's. Does anyone have an idea as to what I could do other than just taking it back?

No, I'm just running it as a singular card.

Are you running the drivers from the msi web site or the cd that came with the gpu. I had really bad problems after I installed the drivers from ATI's site. Gpu tool's stress test was getting 20fps and I was getting about 100 errors a second with the ati drivers. After I reverted back to the msi drivers I was getting 250+fps rock stable after hours of benchmarking and stress testing.
