First time building a gaming rig would love some advice

I'm building my first rig and I decided to make it a powerful gaming PC. I'm not sure on a few things such as what power supply and case to get (i'm on a tight budget but also want decent quality).

So far I want to get:

Processor: Intel I7 2600k 3.4ghz unlocked CPU

Motherboard: ASUS P8P67 LE B3 Intel P67 link

Video Card : Sapphire 100314VXSR Radeon HD 6870 Vapor-X Video Card - 1GB link

Memory: Corsair Vengeance 4gb DDR3 -PC12800, 1600MHZ link

So far this is what i've decided, I'm not sure what power supply to get. Also, i'm wondering if the above items are fully compatible with each other as I don't want to encounter any problems.

I would really appreciate any input provided. Thank you in advance :D

**Edited: I decided to get this case

I would just off the bat recommend not getting the 2600K, the 2500K is sufficient and would save you $100. I strongly recommend spending that 100$ on the gpu and instead getting a MSI 560 Ti OC'd Twin Frozr II.
  3. here is a great deal on a gtx 560 ti for 220$ shipped with mail in rebates it is overclocked faster than the msi twin frozr II by 20mhz and it has comparable cooling for 30$ less- http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-Superclocked-PCI-Express-Graphics-01G-P3-1567-KR/dp/rebates/B004XUCCRM/ref=rebate_olp_1?ie=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&qid=1309408380&sr=1-1

  5. i know. just an option. i dont know when he will buy.
  6. they are compatible, the gtx 560 ti would be a better choice of graphics card, or the radeon hd 6950. a 650 corsair power supply would be plenty (as long as you dont plan on doing crossfire/sli)

That's not what he meant. He wants you to copy that post then paste it here in this thread, supplying your own answers to the questions.
