Z77 motherboard for my new build

Last response: in Motherboards

Hello,

I was looking for some opinions/help on selecting a motherboard.

I will be purchasing a intel 3570k and a GTX 660ti when they are released.

Now comes the hard part I am incredibly anal when it comes to matching parts such as all ASUS or all MSI or whatever, I am overly partial to ASUS since they are what I used last time I build a computer about 10 years ago.

I will be doing some gaming (diablo 3, guild wars 2, starcraft 2) and probably doing some mild to medium overclocking. I have never overclocked my cpu before so I am unsure if it is better to get a board with the overclock button or if it is an easy option in bios.

I am more than willing to spend around 200 dollars on this motherboard if that is a good option. I probably will not ever use SLI or crossfire.

Thanks for reading and for the help.

Overclocking is easy with this one.

The middle name is speed : )

If u will get decent cooling,

u will increase the CPU speed by 30% and that is future proof, right.

nikorr good call on the board but i have already purchased the low profile corsair vengence ram just to make sure my coolermaster 212 evo will fit.

plus by the time i will be buying the processor motherboard and videocard it might even be cheaper.

are any of the 100-200 dollar asus boards any good?

I have P8Z68-V and it OC well, no BSOD or any other problems, solid board.

The Z77 have more features, like build in WIFI and updated Z68 features for the IB cpu's.
