My PC currently has the following kit of RAM

1 x G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model F3-10666CL7D-4GBRH

which is running on a GIGABYTE GA-P55A-UD3 LGA 1156 motherboard.

I just bought the following kit of RAM

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model F3-10666CL9D-8GBR ($54 on Newegg!!)

Now, can I just add on to the RAM I already have in my system or do I need to take out the 4GB kit and just use the 8GB kit? Thank you!

I believe you can add those two. Just remember that the RAM speeds (1333MHz) must be the same

Thanks for your response.

I have not overclocked or changed the settings on my original RAM kit so it should be at 1333MHz right?
