I am experiencing an annoying problem with my keyboard where every so
often (several times a day) certain keys on my keyboard will not work.
Once I give the laptop a good shake or tap it on my desk, the problem
is fixed. Does this sound like a mechanical problem, eg dirt or
something under the keys, or could this be a major malfunction of the
motherboard or something like that? Thanks for input! Mike

This laptop is maybe 6 or 7 years old? I'd go directly to eBay (or Dell
parts, maybe), although you might as well check the interior for a loose
cable anyway. The only loose cables I've ever found have been after
I've reassembled a laptop! Keyboards accumulate everything and sweat
and oils from the hands are solvent and glue that holds the entire mess
together. I'm amazed that kbs can take the abuse.
