I'm using my old GPU( ATI HD4850),HDD and 625w PSU. So far i have chosen these parts:
Case :CoolerMaster Elite 370 Black
MOBO: 870A-G54-MSI
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 975 125W
RAM:KINGSTON MEMORY DIMM 4GB PC12800 DDR3/HYPERX KIT2 KINGSTON

So will it work without bursting into flames?

I'm thinking you will burn the building down. :)

These should work, but if you are into overclocking you might want to get a 965/975 BE chip and aftermarket cooler instead of the 975.

1)You should consider another MoBo because at NewEgg.com there is 27% (104 people) giving this MoBo 1 egg (lowest)
2) You should consider buying a AM3+ Socket MoBo (they are backwards compatible with the AM3) because the AM3+ allows you to upgrade to the new Bulldozer CPU later without upgrading the MoBo. try: ASUS M5A87 $99
3) TBH, you can find a better and cheaper case using the: NZXT GAMMA Classic Series GAMA-001BK ($37 w/ 120mm fan)
4)As Dale said, you should consider an aftermarket heatsink+fan, a good choice is: COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 $50
