if you are gaming, x4 955 will be better than the 1100t, if you work with some multicore programs, better to go with 1090 t rather than 1100t, extra $ doesn't worth it for extra 100mhz imo.

between whats your budget

Just on the mobo, I could stretch my budget to get it as it seems pretty good. However, it would require me to get a graphics card. I do not have the budget for that right now so I cannot use that motherboard.

@r0aringdrag0n: I don't plan on upgrading to Bulldozer CPU when it comes out. My current board is $80 and that upgrade is another $20. Given that I don't plan on upgrading, I think I will be relatively safe with the AM3 board.

As for getting a quad core, I am not gaming. I am going to be doing some multicore stuff, so I think I'll need the extra cores. Besides, what kind of games could I possibly play with the on-board graphics? :D

I'll push the buy button tomorrow if nothing else comes up.

Around $500 to $550. I originally wanted to keep it around $500, but given taxes and potential shipping charges, I have to be realistic and up the max 10%. I'm at $534 right now after shipping/tax charges so I don't have that much breathing room.

As for potential future upgrades, I have not planned any upgrades, and I don't really expect to. This is mostly for playing around with some of my small projects as I have an adequate gaming rig already.

How about:
CPU: AMD Phenom II x6 1090T (OC to 3.3GHz) $170
MoBo: MSI 760GM-P33 $55
PSU: Antec Basiq BP430 $40
CASE: NZXT GAMMA Classic Series GAMA-001BK $37
HDD: Seagate Barracuda ST3500413AS $40
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series Model F3-10666CL9D-8GBRL 8GB $70 ($55 w/ Promo code)
Graphics: Radeon HD 4650 $47 (Buy from Amazon)
DVD-ROM: SONY Black 18X DDU1681S-0B $17
Total w/o shipping: $461

EDIT: Changing the MoBo won't make anything change, only make it cheaper. The changed MoBo has a built in Graphics card that isn't as good as the one in the MoBo you chose but the HD 4650 should be better. The Antec Basiq is 80+ certified so you know you have a good PSU. The Case is rated very good and is cheaper. This setup will lower your price once again
