Has anyone seen any reviews for Tiger Woods for the DS yet? I'm interested
in getting the game but not if the reviews are bad just like all but one of
the other games.

I'm a big fan of the PC TW games (2003-2005) and I'm looking to get a
portable version for on the go. Hopefully the reviews are favorable.

Thanks in advance.

There's one on ign (www.ign.com) - they gave it a 6.

I have it and I think a 6 is a little low and I disagree with the IGN
analysis - I'd probably go for an 8.

To sum up, IGN says Graphics = good, gameplay (controls) = bad.

I think it's the opposite way round. The graphics for the golfers look
pretty good, but the courses suffer from low res textures that are a
little ugly. The sounds are pretty poor too.

Gameplay-wise, I like the swing meter and even quite like the putting
mechanism (although the Caddy Unavailable putting makes things very
hard).

The thing is, Mario Golf by comparison was far too easy to win, Tiger
Woods is difficult to be consistenly good at much like the real thing.
Particluarly because you have a more analog swing control compared to
the usual few button presses required.

IGN didnt like it much, Gamespot liked it slightly more. Personally, as a
huge TW fan, I despise it. It feels and plays like a game that was rushed.
The putting is awful. I can't emphasize that enough, THE PUTTING IS AWFUL.
They didn't bring over gameface and there's only 6 courses. But where the
game truly lets you down is the phyiscs engine. There are some holes you
can't land the ball on and have it stop. And to top it off, EA is charging
40 bucks for this graphical nightmare. Do yourself a favor and wait until
next year, but if you must play it, try to borrow it from someone. Wish I
had.
