PC build, advice please

I asked the this question about a week ago, but this is for a friend now.

Here is what I'm looking at.

This a bit of casual video editing and general PC use. Will game a tiny bit as well. It'll also be for programming as well.

I'm not to sure about the video card though any suggestions? I don't really want to spend to much more on it.

Do I need another DVD drive? No bottlenecks?

I live in NZ so I'm buying from those sites by the way.

Just any parts missing, all compatible etc. Any help would be great thanks.

Also, what ones better, the Antec Three Hundred or Antec One Hundred. WHich one out of those two should I get. Cheers.

Antec 300! Looks good, if there is only casual gaming you could save a little on the GPU and go with HD5670/6670.

You should try to run the iGPU on the 2500K first to see if it is sufficient by itself. That way you will not need to get the GTX 550 at the start. If it is not sufficient then add a discrete GPU afterwards.

Awesome, thanks guys. Also I'd rather get nvidia card because I hear they are better if you're running a linux distro. So, would something like a GTS450 be a better card?

GTS550Ti is a slight upgrade from the GTS450, the 450 is plenty for slight gaming.!
