AMD E-350 system VS a G530 + X motherboard

I am trying to get a NAS server going, and someone suggested the ASUS E35M1-M-PRO (APU+MOBO) for $130.The motherboard has HDMI + 5 SATA III plugs, 2 USB3 ports. I can actually use this as a htpc as well as a NAS mashup

But I researched and found out that the G530 is a much more powerfull CPU and is only $48. However I have no idea how much I have to pay for a motherboard that's comparable with the E35M1-M-Pro.

Can someone suggest something to match with the intel G530 ?


Is it even worth it to get a G530 + mobo or better to get the Asus motherboard plus a seperate multimedia player?

on sale (~80) and with pricematch (~55) and with rebate (~35) ASUS E35M1-M-PRO can be had for much lower making your question moot.

i got it for 55 and am now waiting for the 20 dollar rebate amex card.
