The program can't start because d3dx9_34.dll is missing

I recently switched from Vista to 7 (Clean install) and Moderwarfare 1 played fine with vista, however I now get an error when trying to run moder warfare 1, "The program can't start because d3dx9_34.dll is missing"

I know 7 uses dx11 which, just like every other directx version, is backwards compatible with the other versions, and I would assume especially 9. I've reinstalled moderwarfare, that didn't work.

Any ideas?

Look what you will do!
First you gona download the d3dx9_34.dll from dll-files.com
http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?d3dx9...
and then you gonna put it in the same folder with the program that requires it
If you have it on desktop for example, put the downloaded dll there too.
Also i higly reccomend going to microsoft.com and download the direct3d latest update

Some games also require the xlive.dll, there are too types of it.
The small version(32kb)and the big version(10mb)
That depends on the game and if it is with online play.

Hello there,

d3dx9_34.dll
This is because you are missing a file.
Step 1. You can download d3dx9_34.dll here.
Step 2. Paste this file into your system32 and system folder. Also put it in your syswow
Step 3. Navigate to your System32(32Bit OS) or SyWOW64(64Bit OS) Folder.
Note: The location of System32 or SyWOW64 is
C:Windows\System32 (If you are using 32Bit Windows)
C:\Windows\SysWOW64 (if you are using 64Bit Windows)
Step 4.Paste the d3dx9_34.dll into this folder.
Step 5.Run the game. It might work now.
