HDMI won't show full screen.

I just bought the
SAPPHIRE 100282XTREME Radeon HD 5850 Xtreme 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity
and when I hooked up my monitor via HDMI it wouldn't show a full screen. the edges were cropped, but when I hooked it up via VGA through the DVI-VGA adapter it worked just fine. Any solutions?
