I have a asus ul30a laptop that connects hdmi-hdmi to my sony bravia kdl--46V4100. The connection works fine but when i try to adjust the gamma and colors through the tv, they are greyed out and error message displays as " feature not available for pc input".

Some of my movies are too dark to watch so I need a way to tweak these settings.

thanks

Ouch, the TV won't let you modify settings on the PC input? Thats a bad design decision...

Looks like you are forced to modify settings on the PC end of things; if the TV won't let you modify settings on the PC Input, there isn't much you can do. You can attempt to modify the input so its not labeled as the PC In, but that tends to cause blurryness in HDMI connections [due to inherent differences in how PC screens and TV's display an image].

Yeah they really crippled the hdmi settings in the tv... the only thing i can adjust is brightness, picture and backlight

Hello there I know this is 3 years late but I tried disable other audios at the control panel/manage audio devices section and it worked like a charm ^^
