And also if i get any specific brands and advice (hoping for the cheapest brands) it will be much appreciated.. sorry for the trouble...

What gaming are you intending to do? Titles would be good.

Also, we need to have your power supply specs. If this is a brand of PC, make and model is helpful. This isn't a small form factor is it?

As Boris said above, 1GB is going to cause you issues with most modern games. 2 is the minimum 4 is prefered. Also, I'd look at upgrading your OS as games will soon stop supporting XP and be Vista and 7 only. You don't get the DX 10 or 11 benefits either. A Pentium won't get you to far, but at least you are dual core in the Core2 style pentiums. It will be ok for some games.

I agree with borisof007,I think that computer is far to old to be investing money in to.

What games are you looking to play?It is possible that if the games aren't very demanding you can buy a cheap video card but if they a recent games then I don't think it will work.

rather than wasting money on a new vid card, your best bet would be to replace everything. Aim for a more recent AMD quad core athlonx4, at least 2gb ram and get a motherboard with onboard video. shouldnt cost much and newer onboard video is still much better than your nvidia 7300. It would cost you the same just to upgrade to a newer AGP vid card to replace your current one, but wouldnt you rather a newer faster overall pc?
assuming your power supply is recent enough get this
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.624994 and this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231395
if you need a psu this is good enough and will run that setup + any vid card that doesnt require an extra power connector. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817104045
this will run up to a gtx460 or 6850 gfx card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371033
