I was a happy user of the x1000 forums that discuss HP/Compaq laptops
and flourished.

But now it has been offline for a while.
Is it a good idea to start a group myself, I assume all those citizens
need some place to hang out ?

The page just says "No ETA on when/if the board will be back online."

Well thanks, what's so high profile about keeping a forum online.
