I built my PC in '07 and its been running well (most of the time).
Today it started BSOD-ing. Event Viewer initially wouldn't load (kept saying service wasn't started), and i fixed that.

Tried to boot to my Win7 disk to do a system repair, but i can't get past the BIOS. BIOS loads up, recognizes he CPU, and it supposed to display the RAM info next, but it doesn't. It just sits there displaying my CPU info. Only way to leave the screen is a reboot.

My computer is:
AMD: Athlon 64 X2 5200+ 2991 MHz
Mobo: Gigabyte M57SLI-S4 v.2 (with latest BIOS)
RAM: 4GB Mushkin DDR2 PC2-6400
OS: Win 7 64bit
VC: Geforce GTX 470

any help would be greatly appreciated
