Help choosig a PSU

Hey, I was going to upgrade my graphics card. Was thinking gtx 560. I'm running a dell xps 435mt with an i7 processor. Currently have a ati HD 4850 with it. Trying to figure out what I need and what would be compatible.

  1. If it can run HD4850 it can run GTX560!
  2. What's causing you to upgrade? The performance gain from an HD 4850 to a GTX 560 is not phenomenal.

You failed to mention the psu you have now, which is likely going to power your 560 just fine.
  5. So my problem is that my current gfx card is only running bf3 beta smoothly on the lowest settings. The psu is from dell, the 500 watt one. Not 100% on the name. Also when I check the gfx card I have it just tells me that it's ATI Radeon 4800 series, 90% sure it's 4850. Got this computer from dell almost 3 years ago. I just want to be able to run bf3 on high, preferably ultra settings. Have 6 gb of ram and like I said an i7 920 @ 2.67 ghz on the xps 435mt mobo. I'm not set on the gtx 560 but am looking to spend around 250-300 for an upgrade so any other suggestions would be great.
  6. A dell 500watt will run a GTX560Ti or a HD6950 both would be great upgrades from your current card.
  7. Thanks rolli.
