Is my 6870 good enough for 1920x1080 gaming.

My system specs are:

i5-2400@3.1ghz
650 watt power supply
HIS 6870
4gb ddr 3 ram
p8p67-m

I currently own a 19" LCD monitor, and I want to upgrade to a 24" LED. Will my system max games at the 1920x1080 resolution for at least a couple of years?

Well, with the current games that are ported over to pcs from the limited consoles..I'ld have to say that a Texas Instruments calculator would be over kill...lol
But, seriously...your rig should do most games fine at that resolution!!!!!

Just for your info. I played the Crysys SP demo on my computer on a NVIDIA 9600 GT 512mb ddr2 at 1920x1080 and it played just fine, so I'd think the 6870 would be FINE. I just ordered the PowerColor 6850 myself from Newegg.

The 6870 should be fine. I'm using the 6850 at that resolution and it plays most games at very playable framerates.
