Final Check Before I Hit The Buy Button

^ As for the parts that you have chosen, all are very good, some suggestions -

1. PSU - No doubt that PSU is a wonderful performer, but IMO you are better off with a more powerful PSU so that you can go SLI later on as the mobo also supports SLI
This would be a very good option -

2. CPU Cooler - The Hyper 212+ is a good cooler no doubt, but is overrated in newegg,... It is a best option in sub ~$30 cooler and certainly not $50,...

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139021

The reason why I am suggesting all 700W+ PSU is because you can go SLI later on,... If no plans for SLI, then you can go with lesser wattage PSUs,...

That board doesn't come with an SLI bridge...you have to purchase one of those separate not to mention MSI boards tend to have buggy bios. Like gkay pointed out...you want a 750w psu to be able to push two of those cards later on....and that h/s is over priced at newegg. It's a decent h/s that includes decent thermal paste...no need for the arctic silver.

Here's a board that comes with that SLI bridge and it's in that same price range. Also look at the psu, h/d, and h/s. It makes that build cheaper yet more practical without sacrificing on quality / components.

Nice build. :) One fan for now on that cooler and if the temps warrant it then add another but I think you will be fine for now with just the one it comes with. Now here's a copy & paste from another thread I posted on and it's that same build but cheaper. Amazon and newegg + free shipping...save some $$$.

Here's a build that's in your budget that I posted on here earlier today that you might want to look at.

CORSAIR Builder Series CX600 V2 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply
Now: $69.99 $49.99 after mail-in rebate card

You might want to check local computer stores since i got mine local and it was $49.99 without any stupid mail in rebates.

I have the same exact power supply.

It's powering a 90nm 939-x2-4400+@2.5ghz/4870@800

The 4870 is a power hog for sure, and so is that old 90nm cpu.

It's claiming to have a 40amp 12volt rail.

So far its worked well and has not crashed in 3d games. The old ati xpress3200 crossfire board has 130nm chipsets that draw more power too.
I figure the cpu o/c is around 130 watts, the card is 28 amps (336watts).
-It shows that corsair is ok.

It's not enough for two 4870's as you can see. but it shows what kind of power you need for sli. or crossfire.

I have a 8 year old antec true-power 550 that is powering a 6000+/4870 as well. It is so old i had to mod it so it has a "4 pin p4 plug" since i reused it from a socket-a system. It is still working fine.

With power supplies some brands are better than others. That first one you picked might be quieter and last longer who knows. The antec 550 was $100 when it was new. But how many cheap-o $19.99 ones would i have bought since then? Maybe one would have cooked a board too?

well good luck.

I have a am2 msi k9nu neo. it has a nvidia/uli chipset. It was a budget board.
It works ok, it did not die and is 4 years old. It overclocks poorly. The cpu voltage maxes out at 1.4volts, the 6000+ default voltage. (yes its a 95 watt board and im not supposed to run a 125 watt cpu on it)

I would give it a 7/10 rating. its not terrible, but there are better boards out there.
