Ok so I build my new computer today... these are the components I got:

Intel i5-2500k 3.3ghz: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115072
Radeon HD 6850: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161348
Asus p67 chipset mb: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131708
1TB Samsung F3 Spinpoint hdd : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152185
2x 4GB DDR3 1333mhz RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231426
Rosewill Destroyer Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147144
hec 580W PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817339034
DVD-RW drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827136216
21.5" widescreen LCD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824262011
i-rocks gaming keyboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823204028

Put it all together and it seemed to work fine. Got windows installed then shut down to move the computer to my desk. I also switched the dvi input to the 2nd slot (i think the 2nd one is dual-channel) and connected my hdtv to the hdmi slot to use as a second monitor. When I boot up again I got no display at all. At first I thought it was just the switching of the cords so I shut back down and returned them to the original configuration but it still doesn't display anything.
So far I've tried:
Moving the gpu to the 2nd pci-e slot.
Checked all connections.. they're secure.
Booting with hdd disconnected (just to see if I get bios or anything... didn't)
Booting with an install cd or driver cd in the drive.
Using a dvi-to-vga adapter and connecting to the monitor with a vga cord.
Using just an hdmi cable to the hdtv and no other connections.

..nothing seems to work.
Did the card just die soon after I got it or is there something I'm missing?

edit: (4/27/11)
Turns out the card did just spontaneously die... RMA'd it and got a different one and it's working fine.

Did you connect the power cables to the video card from the power supply?

Did you install the latest graphics drivers for your video card?

Try hooking up just a monitor to the DVI, do you get video then?

As far as I can tell there's only 1 6-pin power slot on the graphics card and that's plugged in.
I can't install the graphics drivers since I can't even see the bios boot or windows or anything.
I've tried using just 1 monitor connected, and for each of the dvi slots and the hdmi slot, none of them are working.

I doubt the card died, not sure what you did.

I would try re-installing Windows by booting to the cd, then see if you get video.

You should always update your video driver after installing Windows and your motherboards chipset drivers.
