1360*768 resolution,is 512 mb gpu enough?

hello,I have a 18.5 inch SAMSUNG SyncMaster monitor,I want to play games with max 1360*768 res,will a 512 mb gpu be enough or I need 1gb,my gpu target is 9800 gt ddr3 512mb?4670 hd ddr3 512 mb with core 2 duo processor,2 gb ddr2 ram.

We needs some more details to help you.Yes a 512mb card is good enough but it depends on which card you get.The 4670 and 9800GT are really old technology,their are far better options at the same price.

What make/model power supply do you have?

What is your budget for your graphics card upgrade?

What games are you trying to play?

As said there are better options, and to be honest the small amount extra for a 1GB card would be worth it irrespective of which games you want to be able to play.

512mb is in general fine for that resolution. Your PSU is not very good BTW. I would avoid any card that needs an external power connector. The HD4670 doesn't need one but the 9800GT may or may not depending on the specific model.

Get a 5750. Your psu will do fine with this card.

Do you think 4670hd ddr3 can run crysis or cod mw2 with medium settings?even I can play at 1024*768,its my present res too,i have done this resolution for playing classic games like project igi,return to the castle wolfenstein etc

Plenty of well specked cards to choose from and most will blow a 4670 clean out of the water.
I would recommend you look at the 5750 and 5770 cards but as said check your PSU has the power before you buy a card.

If the PSU has the PCIE connector built in then it will be fine with these lower power cards people are suggesting, anything up to a standard 5770 really shouldn't have an issue.
