I'm sorry. I do not know how the question didn't show up completely. What i meant to say was that my usb slots are usb 1, but i am buying a new motherboard that has usb connectors. Will the usb 1 be able to connect and work and will they now be technically usb 2 slots

A USB 1.1 device will work with a USB 2.0 port but at only 1.1 speeds. You need a USB 2.0 device and a USB 2.0 port to get USB 2.0 speeds.
