Do I have a damaged motherboard?

Just an hour ago, I tried to plug in a new USB keyboard. It somehow went horribly wrong and apparently the computer short cirquited somehow, and now none of the sound jacks work. Everything else works just fine though for some reason, I don't know why. Does anyone have any explanation to this? Also it really does not register stuff now, the devices aren't lit up when I plug in my speakers, headphones, any playback devices.

The soundcard is integrated in the motherboard. The computer model is a HP pro 3135 MT
