What graphics is better

How does the Intel HD Graphics 2000 compare to ATi HD 3450 for games like the sims2 and imperial glory.

If the 3450 is faster that 2000. than How does a celeron d 356 with a 3450 compared to an i5-2300 with an 3450 will their be a boost in graphics performance with the i5.

The i5-2300's built in graphics *might* be even better than a 3450. Those are the new Sandy Bridge chips.

No the HD 3000 found in the i5 2500k chips are the ones that are about as powerful as the really low end video cards of today. According to the hierarchy chart, HD 2000 is in the same tier as the X1050 at best.

The 3450 is more powerful. That being said, both of them are pretty bad. I wouldn't plan on doing any gaming on either of those two. lol

Well you will see a performance increase as far as how long it takes the processor to compute things going with the i 5. but as far as gaming goes the 3450 will hold back the i 5 so your gaming results will be not so good. Now you could play 2d games like flash based games and emulators fine but 3d games like crysis1/2 and Just Cause and others will just plain be unplayable. You could prob play WoW on low settings though.

Right now I have the 3450 paired with celeron d 356 and i'm able to play the sims 2 and imperial glory on max settings
