Current specs:

MBoard: MSi P55A-G55 (LGA 1156 socket)
CPU: Intel i5 760 2.8Ghz(1156 socket) 8MB Cache
GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD5670 1GB
RAM: 4GB Corsair XMS3 (2.99GB usable)
OP: Windows XP SP3 32bit
Monitor: HP x23LED (23" at 1920x1080)
PSU: CiT 500w
HDD: Samsung Spinpoint F3 250GB (200GB free)

Upgrading to:

GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD6950 1GB
PSU: Corsair TX750 V2 Enthusiast Series 750W
OP: Windows 7 64bit (due to this all 4GB of RAM will be usable)

Will I see a marked improvement in gaming performance if I go through with these upgrades?

Are there alternatives to any of the upgrades that you feel would be better? (Max budget: £400 for all components listed)

Thanks

Just OC, an CPU upgrade wont benifit you at all with your current card, the 760 is still a nice CPU.

What you listed would work great, though if you don't plan to Crossfire, 650W is fine.
