CPU Performance Alert?

Hi guys,

Is this normal?

Im running an xps 8300 (one month old) with an i7 2600.

Every time I burn a cd while also listening to itunes, Norton pops up with a "CPU Performance Alert", saying "one of my CPUs reached 100% for a moment".

Burning a cd does not seem like a heavy performance activity. Heck, Ive done the exact same thing a million times on laptops without this alert.

Any ideas?

OK, will adding miscrosoft security essentials on top of norton (letting subscription run out) be ok?
