What is the best sound card for recording audio tapes to wave files for cd's? I know the SB Live is ok, but I've heard there are better card for recording music. Any suggestions would be helpful.
Recording from analog tape doesn't exactly demand a $1000 Echo Layla or anything, given that the noise floor of a casette is much higher than that of most sound cards. Unless the "audio tape" you're talking about refers to professional 15ips/30ips tape then an Sb Live will give you no problems.
