Any advice on my new build. Could use some help!

I want to build a gaming computer with the following components:


£52 – Motherboard - MSI 870-G45 AMD 870 (Socket AM3) DDR3 ATX Motherboard
£20 – Case - Casecom Shiny Black Mid Tower Case with Front 120mm Red LED Fan - No PSU

£44 – PSU - Corsair Builder Series CMPSU-500CXUK 500W Power Supply (PSU)

£77 – CPU - AMD CPU Phenom II X4 840 Quad Core Processor
£5 – Fan - Titan Aluminium AMD CPU Cooler
£28 – RAM - Corsair Memory Value Select 2GB DDR3 1333 Mhz CAS 9 Dual Channel Desktop (two of these)
 
£39 – HDD - Hitachi Deskstar 1TB 7K2000 Hard Drive – HDD
£42 – Blu-ray combo - BD Combo Drive HP bd240i - Read Blu-ray & Write DVD
£90 – VC - Asus HD 5750 Graphics Card
 
£18 – Speakers - Logitech 2.1 Speakers 17 W RMS Sound System
£155 – Monitor - Viewsonic VX2239WM 22" LCD Monitor
£4 – Keyboard - Colours IT Multimedia Office Pro Wired PS2 Keyboard
£4 – Mouse - Sweex MI002, Black, Internet Optical Mouse, 600dpi, PS2, 3 Buttons
£70 – OS - Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit OEM Operating System

I don't know if these components are compatible, outdated, or suitable (if there is anything better).

I live in the UK so if anyone knows cheaper sites/ shops that would help as well. My budget is about £540.

1) I recommend getting a MoBo with Socket AM3+ such as:

2) And add £4.5 and go with the 955:
