OK. So I recently had a mobo blow-out and replaced it. I went to the MSI 890FXA-GD70. All was fine for a couple of weeks but recently one of my xfired HD5770's is causing the system to hang or not start at all. When I say not start, I mean there is zero HDD activity and no video output at all. If I remove the card from the system all works but obviously xfire goes out the window. I am at a loss. I could figure this out if it simply caused video issues but to render the whole system unusable?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried both cards individually in PCIe slot 1 on their own?
Have you triple checked all power connections, reinserted cards into slots?
I don't mean to ask stupid questions, but sometimes these easy solutions get overlooked.
You could also try a single card in PCIe 1 and PCIe 2 slots to verify whether or not it's a mobo issue.
