Imedia x2414 not booting

Hello,
i have a packard bell imedia x2414, it was all working fine and then i heard a banging / loud popping noise, all was fine untill i tried to turn back on,
all i get are the two fans running and nothing more, the monitor just goes into power saving mode. any ideas, all help greatfully received.

Sounds like blown up capacitors to me.
Check the Power Unit (Rectifier) see if large capacitors have leaked or are split open.
And please do all this if your are tech friendly. Opening it and putting it back together is no joke. Get a manual if you can, remember which screws came out of which parts and while you are at it, we'd like to see some pics of it opened up .
Also get a can of compressed air and some thermal compound if you are going to go down to the processor level to check where the bans came from.
