Do you experience weird slowdowns in just cause 2?

OK.I have played almost 15 hours into this game but this lag is driving me mad.I have a pretty good rig with core i7 870 and gtx 460 768mb and play at 1680X1050.Does anyone notice the fact that there are slowdowns in certain reas of the game?When you first start the game rescue karl blaine and bring him back to the house the game lags horribly in that area.The lag is also weird like one second the character walks faster and another second when the fps drops to 31 the player's walking animation slows down and the game seems to go into a slideshow at even 30 fps.just wanted to make sure whether I wasn't the only one getting the problem.

its because of your graphics card. just cause 2 is a very resource intensive game. you only have a 768mb card. you can't expect to play maxed graphics and maintain 60+ fps.

do you realize what you are saying?When I highly overclock this card it runs crysis maxed never dipping below 30 and even metro 2033 dx 11 very high with tesselation and 30+ fps.Just cause 2 keeps having weird slowdowns.whewn the fps drops from 40 to 30 the game looks like going into slow motion which is something I have not experienced in any game
