Hey guys buying a motherboard soon for my build:

Asus 27" Nvidia 3D vision 2 @1920x1080
Asus GTX 670 DC2T
4gbx2 G.Skill Sniper 1866
OCZ ZX 1000w
128 GB SSD
500GB 7200rpm HDD
I5 3570k
Asus Blu-ray burner
Corsair H100

Now I'm stuck at which motherboard I should buy. I was originally going to go with the Asus Z77 Sabertooth but now I'm thinking differently. Is there a better motherboard out there that's cheaper or around the same price? Better features, quality, personal experience, anything really. I only picked the sabertooth, mostly for it's looks.

Some of you may question why I need a 1000 watt PSU. To answer that I want to later upgrade to an sli 670 while over locking both gpu and the CPU.

Hi there,

That is a good choice for the CPU.

For the mobo, I would recommend -> ... Latest Z77...

U can definitely use this one

ASRock Z77 Extreme4 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX

As for the PSU, u need no more than 850W for 2 SLI.

Here is Guru3D's power supply recommendation:

GeForce GTX 670 - On your average system the card requires you to have a 550 Watt power supply unit.
GeForce GTX 670 SLI - On your average system the cards require you to have a 750 Watt power supply unit as minimum.
If you are going to overclock GPU or processor, then we do recommend you purchase something with some more stamina.

There are many good PSUs out there, please do have a look at our many PSU reviews as we have loads of recommended PSUs for you to check out in there. What would happen if your PSU can't cope with the load:

bad 3D performance
crashing games
spontaneous reset or imminent shutdown of the PC
freezing during gameplay
PSU overload can cause it to break down

You guys all work for Asrock or something?
Why recommend the OP the cheap Asrock extreme4 when he is obviously making a high end build.
He originally had his eyes on the sabertooth which is a $200+ board. Doesn't make sense to recommend him a $130 board.

What features are missing from the Asrock? I'm considering that board for my otherwise higher end build and see no reason why I should want anything more expensive.

I've decided to stick with the Asus Sabertooth and upgrading to an OCZ fatality 850w Jonnyguru 9.5 psu :D . Thanks guys appreciate the help!
