Need help for upgrading my pc

I have an Asus P5SDM-Vm motherboard with a pentium 4 2.66ghz processor.I wish to upgrade my cpu.Also
I want to buy new graphics card i am seeing a ati radeon hd 5670.Please help me whether i should buy this card or not and what cpu i should buy.My budget is not big so i wont be able to but Core 2 Quad

I can't find the specs to that Mobo anywhere, are you sure you got the Model correct?

According to ASUS, you can install the Core2 Quad Q8200, Q9400, Q9550 and Q9650 into your mobo as long as it has BIOS v510 or newer. And, you have one (1) PCI-E x16 slot for a video card, so get what you can afford that will plug into this connection.

What sort of a budget are you looking at for each component?
