Does GTS 450 1gb DDR3 works well with DualCore Intel Pentium D 805, 2666 MHz (20 x 133) ?....I got 2 Gb RAM(800 MHz)...and my motherboard is XFX MG-63MI-7109 Motherboard ......please help me.....

Yes, as long as your power supply provides adequate power to the GPU.

Yes.......thanks for the previous reply...I have got a Cooler Master Extreme Power plus 550w R/EU Cable......But still Fifa 12 is lagging..That's why I am asking........Do I need to change or add something????

To be honest the Pentium D is so old and slow it is probably holding back the GTS450. Time for a new motherboard, CPU and RAM.

Notice it does not even make the modern processor chart.

I am planning to add 4GB Ram(800MHz).....can I use core2 Duo,will it be good with GtS450.......and I bought GTS 450 1GB DDR3....does it really matters most for not buying DDR5.....I want to play hard core games.....will it be good enough???.......Please Help Me..

Any Core2Duo will be better than that Pentium D. If you can get quad core like the Q8xxx or Q9xxx series and then overclock it, then with the GTS450 you can play most newer games on lower resolutions. LGA 775 is really a dead socket at this point but some of the chips still hold up well especially overclocked.

The GTS450 is not a hard core gaming card it is really a budget card and when combined with an older Core2 chip would be good for 1440x900 or 1280x1024 resolutions. I really do not see playing at 1920x1080 or above with newer games on anything but low settings though.
